According to African legend, the bearer of a fertility doll will give birth to a beautiful child. In Africa, fertility dolls represent youth and fertility.  The dolls are believed to induce pregnancy and ensure safe childbirth. After a priest has done the rites on the doll, the women carries the doll and treats it like a real child she will dress it,adorn it with beautiful Jewelry and even put it to bed. After giving birth if it’s a girl, she may give the doll to her to play with teaching her child care
